Studio Cache were commissioned to transform this 3-bedroom maisonette in Chelsea into a family residence in London. The client wanted the property to become a calm retreat from the family’s busy schedule, with a neutral palette and natural materials. It was essential to create a space that would not only reflect the clients’ elevated sense of aesthetic but also be a practical family home. A certain whimsical playfulness is felt throughout the space, from cosy shelving filled with mementos, to the unusual lighting statement pieces in some of the rooms. Spanning across three floors, the maisonette largely retained its original configuration, although some rooms were opened up to create a greater sense of space.
Studio Cache worked with Ebony & co, a boutique wood flooring supplier, to fit the property with wide, antique White American Oak boards.
