A light-filled family retreat set within Baltic pine woodland, this home’s interior design is a union between the elevated aesthetic of custom-made architectural elements, beautiful antique furniture and a soothing, paired back colour palette. The house was designed to reflect Jurmala’s unique architectural heritage while using environmentally friendly and sustainable materials. The material palette inside – antique oak and pine, natural stone and exposed plaster, works to create a peaceful atmosphere in harmony with its natural surroundings, and exudes Nordic calm. As with other projects, Studio Caché incorporated many antique furniture pieces and fittings, such as salvaged architectural element and antique stoves, to evoke a sense of timelessness.
