Branding work in collaboration with Funzenpun – Maison², a studio dedicated to furniture design and manufacture in St Petersburg.
The new name and branding of the already established studio needed to represent not only the company’s heritage but also its youthful and playful side. ‘Maison’ is both a direct reference to “home” and furniture making as well as a playful nod to major fashion and design houses. In its abbreviated form, M², the brand name and logo allude to the unit of measurement.
The typography is softened by the hand drawn square element and the ‘²’, which bring a lightness to the logo and reflect the bespoke approach to the studio’s work.
